A bit late, but we still wanted to help Macmillan through our own wee coffee morning. We were delighted to host nearly forty other like-minded people who helped the community raise £76. This was our first charity event, and given the success, we plan to hold more.
The actual Macmillan events were several weeks before ours. Apologies, but we didn’t realise, and getting it all organised took a wee bit longer than planned. Thanks to Rachel, who was our host and did a lot of the organising. Also to Matt and the bar team who opened up early and had a very long day.
From this, we took heart that the local community actually wanted this sort of event. It’s a great way to get out, meet people, and donate to very worthy charities. We will be doing more of these in the future.
