A few folk, neighbours and passers-by popped into The Swan to help clear up The Courtyard. For four months, it has been used for renovation activities, and now it was time to turn it back into a beer garden. A huge thanks to all those who turned up and helped.
As well as the clear-up, the annuals were being replaced and the rest had a really good tidy-up – they hadn’t been attended to since the autumn.
The Courtard was brushed, and then brushed again, and then you guess it … one more for good luck. Gazebos and umbrellas went up; so did the bunting. And the place was organised to give the required social distancing necessary by the rules.
And shazzam, it was done … okay took a lot of people four or more hours, but we got there and were ready for opening on Monday the 12th. Now fingers crossed for the weather!
