GRC finished the half term with a very special Epic Thursday – their Big-Hearted BBQ Brunch. The courtyard was packed, and we raised over £70 for Fight Bladder Cancer. There was face painting, hair braiding, a mega raffle and live music from Steve Carroll and Windsor Boys’ School two-piece The Squirts. We were even visited by the new Deputy Mayor, Simon Bond and Consort David Armitage on their first public engagement. All the students mucked in and had a great time, and the vibe was joyous!
Meanwhile, the big news in the ongoing betterment of The Swan this week is…the glass washer is fixed! Made possible by our own homegrown enterprise, Gibbs Motor Repairs, Elliot has a canny knack at diagnosing problems and finding solutions. After initial scepticism, the staff are now all delighted! GRC are off on half-term break next week, so the next Epic will be Thursday, June 8th.
