The pub was full both inside and out due to the music in the afternoon, the BBQ, and a little game of football that was on the tele. Shops had closed early, the PM had given blessing for an extension to opening hours, and it was over to Gareth and the boys to bring it home. The opportunity was there, the stage set, but unfortunately, Spain were just a little better than England on the night, winning 2-1. Disappointment for sure, but there is always the World Cup in two years.
