It was the fifth birthday of reopening The Swan after it lay derelict for three years. Owned by the community, the W&E Brewery and The Green Room School and run as a Community Investment Company, we all thought this was a good time to celebrate. And luckily, the weather thought that way too! The committee for the Friends of The Swan had laid on entertainment, food and a cake for the celebrations … and the local community came out in force!
The volunteers – Ian and Anne – were cooking on the famous BBQ, creating delicious hotdogs and hamburgers. The smell was fantastic as was the food!.
There was of course, cake, and music was provided by DJ Wildcat, a favourite with the locals.
