This month was a vibrant mix of community-led events, from celebrating the Warhammer group’s first birthday and launching a new gaming year, to a successful Cycle Hub day promoting active travel and wildlife awareness. Food and social highlights included a popular fine-dining kitchen takeover, well-attended quiz and bingo nights, and Louise’s highly praised Sunday roasts, all reinforcing the pub’s role as a lively social hub.
The latter part of the month focused strongly on community spirit and fundraising, with a coffee morning raising over £200 for the King George VI Day Centre and the Chatty Café welcoming local walkers. Events like the Rocky Horror screening and mini-market added variety and fun, while volunteers remained central to organising and delivering activities, demonstrating the pub’s ongoing commitment to bringing people together.
