May was a month of celebration and recognition at The Swan. Star Wars Day brought costumes, live music from the Windsor Ukulele Band and a CAMRA award, while Micky once again reached the finals of the BII Licensee of the Year competition. The pub also secured another place in the semi-finals of the Great British Pub Awards, reinforcing its reputation as one of the country’s leading community pubs.
Alongside these achievements, the regular programme of community events continued to thrive. Windsor Cycle Hub rides, quiz and bingo nights, Windsor Town Funrunners, and the Green Room College’s Elephant Family Fun Day for Thames Hospice all brought people together, while volunteers transformed the pub’s outdoor spaces ahead of Pubs in Bloom judging. It was another month that showcased The Swan’s unique blend of community spirit, fundraising, and social connection.
