The Maidenhead and District Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business and Community Awards 2024. The Swan had been nominated as a finalist in the Community Project of the Year category. This was due to our Chatty Café. It celebrates “outstanding initiatives that have made a significant and positive impact on local communities, demonstrating exceptional dedication, and collaboration to address community needs and enhance the quality of life for residents“.
The award went deservedly to People to Places. It is a charity that provides community transport and Shopmobility services to local residents in RBWM since 1989.
Anne and Trudy from The Friends of The Swan committee were there as representatives and used the occasion for networking. Oh, and they picked up a little award too if you hadn’t noticed 😉
