The Friends of The Swan Burns Night 2026 was an amazing success! Forty diners enjoyed the traditional menu during a Scottish-themed evening, which included The Selkirk Grace, Burns’ Ode to the Haggis and of course Morag, who drew the raffle! The star of the show was Archie, our talented young piper who blew everyone away with his wide repertoire, expertly played – perfect for the evening!
Huge thanks to the kitchen team of Lou, Ian, Anthony and Anne for a delicious meal; Dawn, Richard and Trudy for efficient and attentive table service; Will, Richard, Andrew and Dawn for their themed entertainment; and of course, our bar team for making sure everyone stayed well lubricated throughout the night! Final confirmation of the evening’s profit is awaited, but it looks to be around the £1000 mark, not including the bar takings!
