The eclipse was on a routine Quiz Night and the timing was just perfect for regular players to move seamlessly from one event to the other. Quiz Lord Martin had, of course, prepared a round called Eclipse – who knew the last complete lunar eclipse visible from the UK was in the 1710’s! Patrick’s Posse were once again the victorious team, and there was a momentary confusion on who had won the Jamie Dodgers when Louise and friend, appeared to have left the pub. But just as the wooden spoon was awarded to the next lowest in the table, the Queens Quizzers, the rightful winners returned to claim their prize!
Fortunately, the ever-ready QLM had a tiny packet of Jammie Dodgers up his sleeve, and the Queens Quizzers were delighted to accept this as the prize for the runner- ups to the last placed team, particularly when Xuexi also picked a packet of crisps from the raffle!!
