Having successfully made it through the Knockout Round so far, England faced Norway in their Quarter Final match. It was a late, 10pm kick off so we were surprised when earlier in the evening, six fully branded Norwegians walked through the door! Turns out they were holiday makers from the small seaport town of Porsgrunn, south of Oslo, who had moored their hire boat on the river for overnight and stumbled across our little pub when out to get some food and watch the match!
Despite being our big match opponents, they were welcomed with open arms by our community and enjoyed a great night with Micky’s Match Tapas for dinner, traditional British craft ales and an exciting match to boot…. even if they did narrowly lose 2-1 after extra time!
