Our Charity Coffee Morning this month was in aid of Berkshire Vision, the third of our 6 Community Charities for 2026/7. This great charity provides practical and friendly support, sport and activities to visually impaired children and adults (and their families) across Berkshire, helping them to develop confidence and independence and the skills to navigate the world with safety and ease.
Representative Viv Lowery attended with a young man who had benefited from their services, and both told us a lot about what they do. We were quite shocked to try on the pairs of spectacles Viv brought along, each giving a real understanding of the visual impairments people with common eye conditions live with.
Almost £300 was raised by the community for this deserving charity by the end of the two-hour event – a great total for which they were truly grateful!
