Cycle Hub

Cycle Hub

The Windsor Cycle Hub is based at The Swan and meets every Saturday, having a Bike Kitchen and a Guided Ride each time. Here you can find just a few of the Cycle Hub’s meetings and excursions, just scroll down.

WCH is an accessible hub, not an exclusive club. So, they are open to absolutely anyone who wants to benefit from cycling – regardless of ability. Being based at The Swan is perfect, as it is a safe space for all, and is a great place to get to know each other after a ride, or during a repair session. The social element of WCH is as important as the bike element.

WCH is affiliated with national organisation Cycling UK, and is also registered as a charity in England & Wales, Charity No.: 1195024.

Bike Kitchen

From 11 am until 12.30 pm, Windsor Cycle Hub’s (WCH’s) volunteers will be on hand to offer safety checks, basic repairs, Bike Register security marking, and to answer your bike-related queries. You can also enquire about buying one of their refurbished bikes, with models suitable for all ages.

Want help with a flat tyre, wonky saddle, rattly mudguard, squeaky chain, squidgy tyre, or just want a good old chat about bikes? WCH are there for you.

Guided Ride

Regular guided rides set off at 11 am promptly; please be here ten to fifteen minutes prior. Rides depart and return to The Swan, unless it is a rare ‘Away Day’. Rides are always led and supported by Windsor Cycle Hub’s trained volunteers. This training includes First Aid (they carry kits), and all rides are insured by the national organisation Cycling UK.

Naturally, the rides are in and around Windsor, Eton and the surrounding area – Level 4 rides head further afield. You will learn some interesting facts about the area and the quieter places to cycle.

The easy Level 1 ride is on the first Saturday of the month, Level 2 the second, Level 3 the third, and Level 4 the fourth Saturday of the month. If there is a fifth Saturday, WCH hold a skills session – watch out on social media and our emails for news.
